🧠 Supporting Healthier Lifestyles in Youth

The RYHEALTH Final Report presents comprehensive data on the health behaviors of over 2,400 children and adolescents aged 10 to 17 across Spain, Portugal, Germany, and Sweden. The study explores key areas such as weight status, physical activity, diet, sleep, and emotional well-being.
The findings reveal clear differences by gender and age group, highlighting the need for targeted actions. For example, boys show higher rates of overweight, while girls report lower physical activity levels and more frequent stress. Children generally report better sleep quality and higher well-being than adolescents.
In addition to analyzing the data, the report offers practical, age-sensitive recommendations for families, teachers, and communities. These include promoting inclusive physical activities, encouraging Mediterranean-style diets, supporting emotional literacy in schools, and creating routines that prioritize sleep and mental health.
RYHEALTH provides a solid evidence base to inspire healthy changes and empower youth across Europe to lead healthier, more balanced lives.
